PH-VALUE
The Ph-value depends en supply specifications. Normally the PH-value is ajusted is 6.5 bis 8.5.
pH value lower than 5 : Indication of a beginning degradation of the foam concentrate which increases the lowering of the pH-value pH wert higher than 8 : generally no problem

The sediment content is the amount of non-soluble components in the concentrate. The unit is Vol-%

Frost Resistance
The frost resistance indicates the temperature up to whichthe foam concentrate can be used. The quality of a foam concentrate is neither affected by fluctuations of the temprature between the freesing point and +50 °C nor by temporailly freesing and slow thawing.

Sea water stability
Sea water stability is an important requirement for the use of foam concentrate on ships, in harbours and offshore. The stability also applies to water from rivers, brackkish water and treated industrial water. The stability of the expanded foam made with seawater comared to frehwater is dependend on the type foam concentrate : Protein foam concentrate : equal or even better Synthetic foam concentrate : equal or slightly less

Mixing of foam concentrate
Generally, only foam concentrates of the same type sould be mixed ! Exemple : Protein foam concentrate with protein foam concentrate, AFFF with AFFF Concentrate of different types should not be mixed! Exemple : Fluor-protein foam concentrate not with AFFF Alcohol resistant AFFF not with multipurpose foam! Potein foam concentrate not with multipurpose foam ! In emergenceis, foam concentrates of the sames type of different manufacturers can be mixed in any ratio, as long as it is to be used immediately.
