About Avenidas Funeral Chapel

Avenidas Funeral Chapel was founded by Miguel

Legaspi, a graduate of Carl Hayden High School in

west Phoenix, and a retired United States Marine.

Miguel searched far and wide for a location that was

lacking an affordable, dignified funeral home.

Finally, he found our

location in Old Town

Avondale on Western

Avenue, that was centrally

located within the western

valley to be able to serve

Avondale, Goodyear,

Tolleson, Cashion and numerous little “barrios” that

fill the western side of the valley.

The Difference

Since opening, many families come to our facility

physically exhausted after searching for a location to

help them. After sitting and discussing options with

them, many have said “we connected with you” or

“we felt like you were one of us”. Well, at Avenidas,

we are.

From our home-like

family’s comfort. It is not

our intent to sell you

anything, only to present to you options that are

acceptable while still staying within your family’s

Why We Care

For too many years, it has been our observation that

the funeral industry is one that is riddled with

scandal and greed. From our point of view, one of

the major problems that surround the industry is the

promotion of services and merchandise that are well

outside of the budget of the family. At Avenidas

Funeral Chapel, “the family budget” is the anchor

point of the services, yet still providing tasteful,

dignified options.

We at Avenidas have grown tired and disappointed

with the corporate burial institutions (and many

independent establishments) that prey on a family’s

vulnerability during this highly emotional time, only

to line their pocketbooks with a family’s misfortune.

At Avenidas, we have a different approach. To show

presentation of a tissue from a caring soul…this is
