St. Johns is a neighborhood in Portland,

Oregon, United States, located in North Portland on

the tip of the peninsula formed by the confluence of

the Willamette River and the Columbia River. It was

a separate, incorporated city from 1902 until 1915,

when citizens of both St. Johns and Portland voted

to approve its annexation to Portland, which took

effect on July 8, 1915.

St. Johns is bordered by the Columbia River to the northeast, the Willamette River to the northwest. St. Johns sits north of Cathedral Park, which is home to the only suspension bridge in the Willamette Valley, the St. Johns Bridge. The main business district of St. Johns (referred to as "Downtown" or "Deep St. Johns") is around the intersection of Lombard and Philadelphia Streets.

TriMet, Portland metro’s public transit agency. The

Portland metro area is well served by an outstanding public transit

system that is centered around light rail lines and buses.

The downtown core is served by the Portland Streetcar. The 3.9-mile NS

Line runs from Northwest Portland to the South Waterfront via

Downtown and the Pearl District. The Loop Service, which opened in

September 2012 as the Central Loop (CL Line), runs from Downtown to

the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry via the Pearl District, the

Broadway Bridge across Willamette River, the Lloyd District, and the

Central Eastside Industrial District and added 3.3 miles of route. In

September 2015 the line was re branded as the Loop Service, with the A

Loop traveling clockwise, and the B Loop traveling counter clockwise.

The two-route system serves some 20,000 daily riders.

The MAX system are the light rail lines which currently consists of five

lines, each line is designated by an unique color. The system currently

stretches 60 miles with a total of 97 stations with an average 116,800

riders per day.

The Portland Aerial Tram is a public and operated as part of Portland’s

public transportation network. It is a unique aerial tramway that

connects the City of Portland’s South Waterfront district to the main

Oregon Health & Science University campus.

Portland International Airport, (PDX) s a joint civil-military airport and the largest airport in the U.S.

state of Oregon, accounting for 90 percent of passenger travel and

more than 95 percent of air cargo of the state. It is located

within Portland's city limits just south of the Columbia

River in Multnomah County, 6 miles by air and 12 miles by highway

northeast of Downtown Portland.

Portland International Airport has direct connections to some major
