• Letter from someone important

• You will write friendly letter of request to someone important in your life, asking them to write a letter to you explaining why they think you are a special person.

• Generations • You will be receiving a worksheet that shows the difference between generations. Make time to interview your parents and grandparents for their part of this worksheet.

• Family Tree On this page, you will research the members of your family – your mom’s and your dad’s sides, then document names.

• Your options are to create these on Print Shop, or hand-make using scrapbooking materials, stickers, stamps, etc. It must state the chapter # and the title of the chapter

• Individual Chapters • All final writings must be typed, single-spaced, size 14 font in Times New Roman font. They must all be in black ink with one inch margins. All Chapters must have a rough draft and a Proofreading worksheet presented for grading.

Writing With Options

Autobiographical Prompt• Write about the day you

were born using the information in your baby book, or from interviews with your mom, dad, Grandma and/or Grandpa. Include information such as: where I got my name, what the weather was like, who was there, emotions my family felt, etc.

Alternate prompts• What piece of junk are you

keeping? Open the 'junk' drawer in your life...it's probably in your kitchen, your garage or your desk. Take one item out of it that's been there for a long time. Write a piece that explains why you haven't thrown the item away yet.
