The sl im design a lso al lows maximum natural l ight into the home. Made from t imber, with external a luminium cladding, Rationel AURAPLUS offers al l the benef its of natural wood on the inside and easy maintenance on the outside. The range is avai lable with security ironmongery as standard, and are suitable for Passiv Haus bui ld ings.

SIDE HUNG

SIDE GUIDED

Side Hung windows are contro l led with tracks and s l ides. On windows over 424 mm wide and 530mm high, the handle contro l led fr ict ion brake a l lows the window to be f i xed in any open pos i t ion.

S ide Guided windows are contro l led by tracks and s l ides that a l low the window to be f ixed in any open posit ion. However, when opened, the h inge s ide of the sash moves toward the middle to create an opening that a l lows the g lass to be c leaned from the ins ide.

T ILT &TURN

Ti l t and Turn windows funct ion in two ways. The t i l t funct ion opens the top of the sash inwards for vent i la -t ion, whi lst the turn funct ion creates an inward open ing s ide hung operat ion. Ti l t & turn windows can be c leaned from the ins ide and can a lso be used as emer-gency ex i ts. Th is open ing sty le is a lso ava i lab le so le ly as a bottom hung window (with handle at the top of the sash) or as an inward open ing s ide hung window. Ava i lab le in Aurap lus on ly.

TOP GUIDED

Top Guided windows are a s imple, e legant and user- fr iend ly des ign. Opening is contro l led by tracks and s l ides. When open ing the window the top of the sash s l ides downwards as the bottom of the sash opens outwards. Adjustab le fr ict ion i ron-mongery a l lows an a lmost in f in i te cho ice o f open pos i t ions.

TOP SWING

In everyday operat ion the fu l l y revers ib le window funct ions as a Top Guided window. However i t is poss ib le to turn the sash through 170 degrees to c lean the g lass from the ins ide.

F IXED L IGHT

Fixed L ight windows are idea l wherever max imum interna l l ight and so lar heat ga in is requ ired. F ixed L ights can be f i t ted with tr ick le vents for vent i lat ion.
