Little Angels Service Dogs is up and running in Bartlett at Sky Valley Ranch! They just had their first two recipients come to town to meet their “furever” friends and learn to be-come certified working teams. Both recipients were in the valley for two weeks for lessons and field trips with the trainers and dogs. Little Angels is thankful to be working with so many local businesses that are going out of their way to offer a warm welcome to the recipients while they are in town. The Residence Inn provides a discount-ed rate for recipients staying for their 2-weeks of Handler Training and makes sure the families and dogs have all of their needs met while they are here. Percy Paws, in Settlers Green, is generously giving each family that travels to NH to receive their dog, a 20% discount on all of their doggie splurges. “Now that businesses are seeing us out and about with recipients, we are getting a lot of calls asking how they can help and how they can support what we are doing,” says Josh Drew, the Operations Manager for both Little Angels ranches. “It makes us proud to be a part of such an amazing community when our recipients tell us stories

about how kind our local businesses are while they are out shopping and site seeing with their dogs.”

The Newcomb family was here from Indiana to receive a seizure alert dog for 7-year-old daughter, Emily. Juliet is an amazing 2-year-old English Cream Retriever. After working with her girl for just 12 days and living with her at the hotel for 5, Juliet alerted to Emily’s seizure at The Moat on a busy afternoon. Juliet broke her down-stay under the table and alerted Emily’s mom, Amy, by pawing at her leg.

Jessica was here from Texas to receive her medical alert assistance dog. Finlay is a two-year-old Bichon Frise that will now spend his days with his girl alerting to her medical needs as she goes about her day. Jessica says it was “love at first sight” when she and Finlay met on Day 1.

Little Angels will officially celebrate the Grand Opening of Sky Valley Ranch on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 10-4. Everyone is invited to the ranch for “Dog

Daze of Summer.” The ranch will be filled with activities, fun and food for all ages! Total Entertainment from Danvers, MA will be setting up multiple inflatable attractions (including the challenging Knock Out attraction for teen visitors), trackless train rides around the ranch, mini golf, carnival games and more. Cheese Louise will be on hand to feed the crowds and Elevation 6288 will be serving up refreshing gelato and shaved ice treats. Other food on the menu includes smoked meatball subs, Japanese Fried Rice, and carnival snacks. Come by and bid on the silent auction items including Maui Jim sunglasses, gift certificates to restaurants and attractions around New England, pre-season Pats tickets, dog items and more! Service dog demos will be taking place throughout the day and trainers, staff and Board members from both coasts will be on hand to answer any questions.
