High-speed Internet Is Coming to Sandwich & AcworthNHEC is pleased to announce it has entered into agreements with the towns of Sandwich and Acworth, which will make high-speed internet service available to more than 1,500 homes and businesses throughout these two communities, through its subsidiary NH Broadband.

Service is expected to be available by early 2022, following construction of fiber optic networks that will serve all the residents of both communities. Members in Sandwich and Acworth can pre-order for service, read more about service offerings and follow project updates at www.NHBroadband.com.

We know that inability to access reliable high-speed internet is an immense burden on our unserved and underserved members. NHEC is working with partners to identify funding opportunities and evaluate different partnerships. Our goal is to develop a partnership that will allow us to move quickly and efficiently to ensure all our members’ have access to the high-speed internet they need.

NH Fuel Assistance Program (FAP) State program now accepting applications for the 2021-22 heating season. FAP provides benefits up to $1,575, depending on household income and energy costs. Can also secure an emergency delivery of fuel. To apply, contact your local Community Action Agency (CAA). If you need help locating the agency in your area, call 211 for additional information.

NH Electric Assistance Program (EAP)State program that provides discounts up to 76% on your electric bill, depending on household size and income. To apply, contact your local Community Action Agency (CAA).
