August 2015 Midsummer Fun!
We are already halfway through the summer! It feels like it is flying by. Speaking of flying our Cub
Camp students have been learning about all things that fly from airplanes, to hot-air balloons, to kites!
They have also been rolling along while learning about things with wheels. They had a scooter day where
they brought in scooters from home and rode around the playground. Everyone has also been enjoying
water play on the playground with sprinklers, water sprayers and splashing in the sensory table. Our
Adventure Camp enjoyed a trip to the Long Island Aquarium and are practicing every day for their Talent
Show at the end of the Summer.
It is hard to believe we are getting ready for Back to School! Registration packets were distributed with
forms to be completed and signed and returned to the Office. The forms and registration/curriculum fees
are due no later than August 15th. Without registration forms and payments, we cannot guarantee your
childs space for September. Please contact us with any questions regarding registration or your contract
for next year.

the office. This will also be a
great event to come to for
shopping! Please share the
information with your friend and
neighbors who have young
children. We hope to see you
there!
On Friday, August 21st at 6:45pm, the School Age class
will be having a Talent Show
to end the summer. They
have been working very hard
and all parents are invited to

She has demonstrated that she is a team player and is dedicated to her work with the little ones in her class. Ms. Sandra is dependable, responsible and shows patience and love to the children each day. She has been doing a great job developing developmentally appropriate projects and lessons for the children in the Cornell Cubs A class. We appreciate all of her hard work and are thankful she has

Health Corner Swimming is a popular activity in the summer months! Whether at the pool or beach, children spend a lot of time in the water. Unfortunately, summer is also the time that the Coxsackie virus is known to spread through swimming in pools. Please be aware of the symptoms of Coxsackie and report them to the Office immediately so we can take necessary precautions to cut down on the spread of this contagious virus. Please visit http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/ for more
information.
