Junior High and High School Youth Group members visit-ed service sites around the Metro to pull weeds, write notes, visit the elderly, pack supplies for the homeless, and sort donations last week on their Mission Trip! Thank you to Michelle Ismert and all the parent volun-teers who drove and supervised. Thanks also to those who generously donated cereal to Catholic Charities.
Is someone you love unable to join us at church for the August 15 Holy Day Mass in celebration of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary? We have gotten some really great donations this summer and would love to continue to send a lot of box-es to our troops this fall! We are in need of sunscreen, toothpaste and toothbrushes, razors, non-aerosol shav-ing cream, Chapstick, foot powder, Tide pods and cur-rent magazines, instant noodles, single pack drink pack-ets, jars of peanut butter, crackers, nuts, beef jerky and beef sticks, nutrition bars (no chocolate) and pop top canned fruit, freezable juice pops. Sacrament of Baptism Baptisms take place on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month following the 10:30 am Mass. A preparation class is required. Please contact the Parish Office at 913-660-1184. Sacrament of Reconciliation The sacrament of Reconciliation is offered on Saturdays from 3:00-3:40 pm. Other times are by arrangement with a priest.
