EVERY ROTARIAN EVERY YEAR

Rtn. Dr. Adrian Sealy was our Rota-

ry moment speaker for the day and

addressed the club on the im-

portance of contribu�ons to the

Rotary Founda�on under the slo-

gan ‘every Rotarian every year’.

Rtn. Adrian reminded the Club of the

Rotary Founda�on’s Annual fund to which Rotarians from

around the world contribute to allow Rotary Interna�onal to

transform lives and communi�es globally. Each Rotarian is

encouraged to donate a minimum of $100.00 US per annum.

RCOB IS REMINDED THAT OUR TARGET CONTRIBUTION TO

THE FUND IS $10,000.00 US PER YEAR AND WE ARE EACH

THEREFORE ENCOURAGED ON AN ANNUAL BASIS TO ASSIST

THE CLUB IN MAKING THIS TARGET!!

GLOBAL ENVIRNOMENT FACILITY [GEF] SPOKE TO THE CLUB ON THE AIMS OF THE PRO-GRAMME AND ITS OUTREACH; THE AIMS OF WHICH ARE TO ACHIEVE ENVIRONMENTAL SUS-TAINABILITY, ALLEVIATE AND OR REDUCE POV-ERTY AND DEVELOP CAPACITY. THE FUND OF-FERS FINANCIAL AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANISATIONS FOR COMMUNITY DRIVEN PROBLEMS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL PRIORITIES. HE NOT-ED THAT GEF HAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF VARIOUS PROJECTS IN BARBADOS RANGING FROM ASSISTING WITH THE PLANT-ING OF ORGANIC PLANTS BY PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES TO ASSISTING THE BARBADOS INSTITUTE OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROFESSIONALS WITH THE PLANTING OF CERTAIN TYPES OF PLANTS THE FIBRES OF WHICH CAN BE USED IN PRODUCING CERTAIN WORKS OF ARTISTIC CRAFTS-MANSHIP.

CONTINUE TO WISH ALL OUR YOUNG PEOPLE WELL IN THEIR

FUTURE ENDEAVOURS AND MAY THE FUTURE BE YOURS FOR

THE TAKING!

WE ESPECIALLY RECOGNISE DAVEED GITTENS AND NIA MAR-

SHALL WITH WHOM THE CLUB HAS HAD SPECIAL RELATION-

SHIPS IN THE LAST YEAR. DAVEED IS DYSLEXIC AND PRESENTED

AS A GUEST SPEAKER AT ONE OF OUR THURSDAY SESSIONS AND
