Research reveals that formal training produces accuracy, competence and confidence in praconers and enhances the quality of service provision. This 1-day workshop, conducted by Glenn Johnson from The Hearing Company, provides hands-on training in the basic skills required to conduct hearing tests on adults, primarily within general pracce and health assessment organisaons. Delegates will learn how to conduct audiometry, perform otoscopy and manage the numerous elements that can affect the accuracy of hearing test results. They will achieve a basic understanding of the skills and knowledge required to be an audiometric tester with confidence in applying the skills in the workplace. The course combines theory and praccal training in a compact format, ulising a range of teaching methods and materials including: Informave lectures Praccal workbook exercises Industry examples from experienced testers Demonstraons and role plays Hands-on pracce session (audiometry and otoscopy) A course manual and use of equipment in pracce sessions is provided.
