WELCOME TO AUDACITY

Audacity is a free tool that records and edits sounds

If you need to download Audacity, go to http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ and select Download Audacity 1.2.6 instead of Audacity 1.3.12, because the later edition is still a “work in progress”.

CHANGE THE FILE FORMAT FROM WAV TO MP3

When you want to download your newly created audio to another device, you need to save your Audacity file as an MP3

Audacity itself cannot encode audio as an MP3, so you need to download Lame MP3 Encoder Go to http://lame.buanzo.com.ar to download Once you have it, you will have a file called

lame_enc.dll, LameLib or libmp3lame.dylib The first time you want to export an MP3 file,

Audacity will ask you for the location of this file, so remember where you saved it
