BRASEA

“ASBS”– BRASEA NEWS We trust the Bulletin is not too much all over the place, as we have had extra help with it this

issue while the “old bloke” is in hospital recovering from his knee replacement surgery at last.

Such a task finding a Surgeon game enough to operate on him, with all his problems, but a

brave sole stood up at RPA Hospital in Sydney and the jobs done – now to get rid of the pain !!!

if you need a good bone surgeon let us know, at least he is brave …and the knee looks good .

The re-new of memberships for the 2019/2020 year should be complete by now, if you have

not paid please help us out by finalising this or we will need two lots to be current

In making up the Bulletin we were looking at our huge file of Articles and thought we would

ask you if there are any particular articles or subject you would like us to produce an article on.

Some have been used before, possibly 20 years ago maybe, but they will be new to many of

you, so ask for what you would like to read and we will either print them in the Bulletin or

attach them to the Auction reminder emails we send all over the World and get some out to you

– please email your subject to [email protected] – we also have a limited number of our

Paintings and other Prints we can send you for your OWN use – you must keep them for

yourself and not send them everywhere ..

We will send out any extra or late news when the “Boss!” gets outa hospital

The BSNSW Branch which organises the BBQ, at our Auctions in Sydney, has a shortage of

man power …. if anyone can assist, even just a short break, please contact Carlo Arfi he will be

most grateful 0424 601 124 – West Sydney Branch BSNSW retains all the proceeds of the BBQ

sales ( ASBS - BRASEA asks for nil ) so please assist them with their fund raising..

A Note from one of our Junior Presidents

BRASEA

Hi, my name is Mckenzie, I am 12 years old and I share the same passion as you breeding budgies. I primarily breed the yellow face variety but I also breed dominant pieds, opalines, spangles and the normal variety. Since I started in the hobby 2 years ago, I have accumulated over 100 budgerigars and now own two aviary’s one air-conditioned breeding room and one outdoor flight area. 2019 has been a great year of showing for me, winning over 20 trophies and 3 perpetual awards including most successful exhibitor in the abs budgie club table shows, best junior young bird at the abs table shows and junior encouragement trophy. As I have not yet attended a BRASEA show I plan on coming and showing some birds in the BRASEA section at the Pine Rivers show 2020. How did you go at Pine Rivers, McKenzie ?? Editor BB

Attacked chick once it had left the nest in the last round in 2019. Had been fine on previous round. All eggs were fertile. She may have been wanting to go back to nest and the chick was trying to get

back in the nest but I have a low tolerance for any bad behaviour in

the cabinets so she is out.
