The special pigments are resistant to ultra violet light and fading. TimberLife is suitable for fences, sheds, trellis and all garden timber, new or previously treated. Preparation Clean surface with a wire brush to remove algae, fungi, lichen and moss. Badly affected wood should be treated with a fungicide and allowed to dry. TimberLife may be applied over other fence and shed treatments and weathered creosote but paint or varnish should be removed with Strypit Paint & Varnish Stripper. Application STIR WELL BEFORE AND DURING USE. Apply liberally using the largest brush practicable for the job. One coat is usually sufficient but on bare wood a minimum of two coats is required. Further applications can be made for a deeper colour. Do not apply if rain is imminent or if temperature is below 5 O C. Will not harm plants or clothes but splashes should be washed with water whilst still damp to prevent staining. Immediately after use clean brushes and hands with water. If brushes dry out and become hard, clean with cellulose thinners. Re-coating Time Approximately 30 minutes depending upon weather conditions and absorbency of the wood. Further applications can be made after 2 hours. Coverage 1 litre will cover approximately 6–12 sq. metres per litre for each coat, depending on condition of the wood. Cleaning Remove as much product as possible and return to this container. Brushes should then be cleaned immediately with water. If the brushes become hard, they may be cleaned with Rustins Brush Restorer or Rustins Cellulose Thinners. Disposal (pollution prevention) Some local authorities have special facilities for disposal of waste paints/varnishes /coatings. Do not empty product into drains or watercourses. Storage Store in a cool dry place with the lid tightly closed. Protect from frost. HEALTH AND SAFETY May cause an allergic skin reaction. Keep out of reach of children. Wear protective gloves and eye protection. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a POISON CENTRE or doctor. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water. IF ON CLOTHING: rinse immediately contaminated clothing and skin with plenty of water before removing clothes.
