ATTENDANCE FACT90% = 4½ days a week (for 39 weeks) 19.5 days absence

80% = 4 days a week (for 39 weeks) 39 days absence

70% = 3 ½ days a week (for 39 weeks) 58.5 days absence

60% = 3 days a week (for 39 weeks) 78 days absence50% = 2 ½ days a week (for 39 weeks) 97.5 days absence

ANYTHING BELOW 95% is unacceptable affecting both you and the school

ATTENDANCE FACT

Holidays taken in term time can seriously affect your

education!And holidays taken in September will affect your tutor group’s placement in

the leagues at the start of the next school year!

Medical Appointments• If you MUST go for medical appointments during the school

day, AVOID registration times wherever possible!

• However, if your appointment is first thing in the morning, don’t wait until lunch to return to school. Come back as soon as your appointment is finished so that you can get your mark for the morning session!

• If your appointment is during the afternoon, don’t go home at lunchtime – get your afternoon mark first!

This has a huge effect on your own attendance and your tutor group’s position

in the league tables!

It’s fair!Remember:• Students who are educated off site are not

counted, because you are not able to encourage them to improve their attendance

And:• Each week, the two students with the

lowest attendance in each tutor group are also not counted
