Message from Mrs Hutchison
Next week the Year 6 children will be taking their SATs tests. They have all been working incredibly hard and we all wish you the best of luck.
In order to prepare our children for the tests we are inviting all of Year 6 to attend a special breakfast on each of the mornings from 8.20am. This breakfast is free and we would love to see all of the Year 6 children there. Following on from my previous bulletins regarding safeguarding at Grazebrook there are few reminders for the next couple of weeks.
With the summer evenings fast approaching many of clubs may take place in the Infant Playground and so to continue our safeguarding we will not be opening the gates for parents to collect children until just before 4.45pm. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your continued support in the safeguarding of everyone at Grazebrook.
Huge congratulations to the amazing children and our super staff team for taking part in Sundays Virgin Sport Schools Challenge at the annual Hackney Half Marathon!
After seven weeks of preparation and under the guidance of our fab Fit For Sport Coach, Ryan we were finally ready. On Sunday, along with hundreds of runners, our team met at Hackney Marsh Festival Village joining friends from our partner school Shacklewell and other schools around the borough.
The atmosphere was electric and the team were buzzing. Check out our style and stamina as we completed our final mile. What an achievement and what a memory!
Grazebrook is delighted to encourage healthy and active lifestyle. Many thanks to Virgin Sport and Run Hackney for helping us do this in spectacular style! Take a look at the back of this bulletin for some wonder-ful photos of Team GB!
Congratulations also to Joseph in Year 4 who cycled 50 miles of the South Downs Way last weekend, with all his gear in tow!
Grazebrook School Choir were part of a grand musical event at Woodberry Down Primary School last week. This was organised by the Federation Music Team and involved children from across the federation who delighted us with a singing and dancing performance. All of those who attended commented on how talented all of the children were. Congratulations to all who took part.
Have a lovely weekend and I look forward to seeing you all on Monday at 8.55am

A great success, as our Family Pottery Throw-down launched with a buzz under the expert guidance of Potter Extraordinaire and After School Club Tutor, Clare.
Our sessions are now fully booked for this part term but we may have more in Summer 2. Families learning new skills together? How cool is that! Watch this space to see our wonderful clay crea-tions.
Thank you Hackney Learning Trust for the funding!
On Monday 1st May the GB Chess Team took part in a chess tourna-ment. Great news the team WON the Schools State Cup!
