8/3/19 WELCOME TO THIS WEEK’S E-ACT NEWSLETTER E-Act Blackley Academy Victoria Avenue M9 0RD [email protected] Attendance Awards This week’s attendance awards goes to….. 1 st place- Year 2 – Adamson, with an incredible 100% 2 nd place- Year 4 – Hill with 99.3% Joint 3 rd place – Year 2 –Chadwick and Year 3 – Crompton SPECIAL EVENTS What a week we have had! The school was alive with brightly coloured costumes as the children and staff enjoyed a spectacular World Book Day. Children enjoyed a range of WBD activities in class, there was also a Book Swap, Fashion parade with prizes for the best dressed and a ‘Where’s Wallyathon’ from all the GOOD WORK AWARD Year 1 White – George Lowry – Abraham Year 2 Adamson – Alfie Chadwick – Kowen Year 3 Crompton- Maisy B Thompson – Racheal Year 4 Hill- Muna Poynting - Keiran Year 5 Garrett- Alfie AAG AWARD The AAG Award is voted for by our AAG members and relates to any individuals, groups or classes that have been noted displaying the 3 E-Act values of; Thinking Big, Doing the Right Thing, Showing Team Spirit. This week the award went to Lois in Year 2 for ‘Always Doing the Right Thing’ – WELL DONE LOIS! OTHER SPECIAL NEWS Well done to Blake in Year 5 who won the E-Act Blackley 500 word challenge with his story- The Mysterious Case of Vlogger 99 The Year 6 children have been taking part in maths challenges, via Hegarty Maths and 16/20 Dates for your diary Wear a hat day- Friday 29 th March Red Nose Day – Friday 15 th March Term Ends – Tuesday 9 th April 3:15pm

The Year 6 children have been taking part in maths challenges, via Hegarty Maths and 16/20 of our children were in the top 20 out of all e-act primaries for independent learning
