TIU VIDEO Page Love, a registered dietician specializ- ing in sports nutrition will once again be on- site in Washington D.C. to speak to players about nutrition and hydration. She will be available on Saturday August 1, Sunday August 2, and Monday August 3. Watch for signs when you arrive onsite and also ask the ATP Physios for more information on how to sign up to meet with Page. The Tennis Integrity Unit recently produced a video about its function, featuring the sto- ry of David Savic, a player who was given a lifetime ban from pro tennis for match fixing in 2012. The video and a general overview of the Tennis Integrity Unit are on the Play- erZone “Anti-Corruption” page. SCHEDULE: SUNDAY FINAL, FIRST ROUND TO TAKE PLACE OVER TWO DAYS For the 2015 US Open, the men’s singles final will return to its traditional Sunday afternoon timeslot, which will fall on September 13th. The men’s singles semifinals will take place on Friday, Septem- ber 11th. This new schedule will affect the whole tournament, most importantly the first round schedule. The first round will now take place on Monday and Tuesday (August 31, September 1) instead of Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. As such, players who reach the final in Winston-Salem (to be played on Saturday, August 29th) should be ready to compete on Monday or Tuesday, given that a Tuesday start will not be able to be guaranteed. This year, the USTANational Tennis Center will not be available to players wishing to practice before its official “Open for Business Day” on Saturday, August 22nd, starting at 8:00am. Due to the nature of the ongoing construc- tion on-site, the US Open foresees holding firmly to this policy and will not be accommodating the special, early requests for practice time that it has in the past.
