His Holiness the Sakya Trizin encouraged all the Sakya Centres around the world to hold special prayer gatherings for the spread of the teachings on the most auspicious date of 20 March 2016. In accordance with His Holiness 'wishes at Drogmi Buddhist Instute Sydney, Guru Yoga Puja was completed. The puja was lead by DBI President Jack, which included the reading of the biography of Jetsun Drakpa Gyaltsen taken from His Holiness the Sakya Trizins website, as a guided meditaon, followed by the Guru Yoga Puja. Recitaons of Verses of Praises to Jetsun Drakpa Gyaltsen, mulple prayers to the Guru and the Long Life Prayers were conducted.     THE ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF JETSUN DRAKPA GYALTSEN

    There was a very special gathering to celebrate the 800th Anniversary of Jetsun Drakpa Gyaltsen, the third founder of the Great Sakyapa Order in Tibetan Buddhism. His Holiness the Sakya Trizin encouraged all the Sakya Centres around the world to hold special prayer gatherings for the spread of the teachings on the most auspicious date of 20 March 2016.

    In accordance with His Holiness 'wishes at Drogmi Buddhist Institute Sydney, Guru Yoga Puja was completed.     WESAK - SAGA DAWA DUCHEN PROGRAM & PRACTICES

Dedications were also offered to all mother sentient beings who have passed away, so they may attain a precious human rebirth and meet the holy Dharma in their next life.

    We all offer our most heartfelt prayers and support to Khenpo la, Lama Kalsang la and family at this time.

    A BEAUTIFUL FIRST KTBC MARKET

    DAY HELD AT BERMAGUI NSW

    Here are a few photos from the Annual Seaside Fair at Bermagui, near Tilba.

    The centre held a market stall and met many of the lovely community members.

    It was a wonderful day where Lama and the Drogmi team enjoyed the day in the sun right on the beautiful beach front. Thank you to everyone for helping to run the stall.

    A SECOND SUCCESSFUL WORKING BEE

    The working bee / karma yoga weekend took place at KTBC, accomplishing a huge

    NGONDRO RETREAT at KTBC

    On the weekend of 15 - 17 April the very successful Ngondro Retreat was held at Kamalashila Tibetan Buddhist Centre. It was lead by Inge Riebe. Inge gave very detailed instructions on the Four Common Preliminary Practices we undertake to create the right motivation to practice the Four Uncommon Preliminary Practices. She gave a very clear instruction on the Refuge practice, and Loving-Kindness, Compassion and the Enlightenment Thought. Lama Kalsang la gave teachings on prostrations, the meaning and benefit of them. He then gave a practical teaching on actually how to do prostrations. Thank you Lama la and a

    big thank you to Inge, for giving her time and knowledge to the participants this weekend. Your enthusiasm and willingness to share your knowledge was so much appreciated by all who came. The weekend was very special.

    Below is an image of the newly painted floor in the dining room at Kamalashila Tibetan Buddhist Centre. Such a huge improvement, thank you to Lama Kalsang and to Mark Khyenrab for all of your hard work.
