A PROCLAMATION

DETERMINING THE SPECIFICATIONS AND DESIGN FOR ANEW SERIES OF ONE HUNDRED POUND GOLD COINS;

A NEW SERIES OF TWO POUND SILVER COINS; AND A NEWSERIES OF FIVE POUND CUPRO-NICKEL COINS

Whereas under section 3(1)(a), (b), (c), (cc), (cd), (d) and (dd) of the Coinage Act 1971 Wehave power, with the advice of Our Privy Council, by Proclamation to determine thedenomination, the design and dimensions of coins to be made at Our Mint, to determine theweight and fineness of certain gold coins, the remedy to be allowed in the making of suchcoins and their least current weight, and to determine the weight and composition of coinsother than gold coins or coins of silver of Our Maundy money, and the remedy to be allowed

in the making of such coins, to provide for the manner of measurement of the variation fromthe standard weight of coins, and to determine the percentage of impurities which such coinsmay contain:

And Whereas under section 3(1)(ff) of the Coinage Act 1971 We have power, with the adviceof Our Privy Council, by Proclamation to direct that any coin shall be legal tender for thepayment of any amount:

And Whereas it appears to Us desirable to order that there should be made at Our Mint a newseries of coins of the denomination of one hundred pounds in gold, a new series of coins ofthe denomination of two pounds in silver, and a new series of coins of the denomination offive pounds in cupro-nickel:

We, therefore, in pursuance of the said section 3(1)(a), (b), (c), (cc), (cd), (d), (dd) and (ff),and of all other powers enabling Us in that behalf, do hereby, by and with the advice of OurPrivy Council, proclaim, direct and ordain as follows:

ONE HUNDRED POUND GOLD COIN

1. (1) A new coin of gold of the denomination of one hundred pounds shall be made,being a coin of a standard weight of 31.21 grammes, a standard diameter of 32.69millimetres, a millesimal fineness of not less than 999.9, and being circular in shape.

(2) In the making of the said gold coin a remedy (that is, a variation from the standardweight or diameter specified above) shall be allowed of an amount not exceeding thefollowing, that is to say:

(a) a variation from the said standard weight of an amount per coin of 0.15 grammes;and

(b) a variation from the said standard diameter of 0.125 millimetres per coin.

(3) The least current weight of the said gold coin shall be 31.01 grammes.

(4) The variation from the standard weight will be measured as the average of a sampleof not more than one kilogram of the coin.

(5) The design of the said gold coin shall be as follows:

‘For the obverse impression Our effigy with the inscription “· ELIZABETH II · D · G· REG · F · D · 100 POUNDS ·” and the date of the year, and for the reverse a depiction ofPeter Rabbit, Mrs Rabbit and three other rabbits accompanied by the inscription “‘NOWRUN ALONG, AND DON’T GET INTO MISCHIEF. I AM GOING OUT.’”. The coin shallhave a grained edge.’

TWO POUND SILVER COIN

2. (1) A new coin of silver of the denomination of two pounds shall be made, being a coinof a standard weight of 31.21 grammes, a standard diameter of 38.61 millimetres, a standardcomposition of not less than 999 parts per thousand fine silver, and being circular in shape.

(2) In the making of the said silver coin a remedy (that is, a variation from the standardweight or diameter specified above) shall be allowed of an amount not exceeding thefollowing, that is to say:

(a) a variation from the said standard weight of an amount per coin of 0.15 grammes;and

(b) a variation from the said standard diameter of 0.125 millimetres per coin.

(3) The variation from the standard weight will be measured as the average of a sampleof not more than one kilogram of the coin.

(4) The design of the said silver coin shall be as follows:

‘For the obverse impression Our effigy with the inscription “· ELIZABETH II · D · G· REG · F · D · 2 POUNDS ·” and the date of the year, and for the reverse a depiction ofPeter Rabbit, Mrs Rabbit and three other rabbits accompanied by the inscription “‘NOWRUN ALONG, AND DON’T GET INTO MISCHIEF. I AM GOING OUT.’”. The coin shallhave a grained edge.’

(5) The said silver coin shall be legal tender for payment of any amount in any part ofOur United Kingdom.

FIVE POUND CUPRO-NICKEL COIN

3. (1) A new coin of cupro-nickel of the denomination of five pounds shall be made, beinga coin of a standard weight of 28.28 grammes, a standard diameter of 38.61 millimetres, astandard composition of seventy-five per centum copper and twenty-five per centum nickel,and being circular in shape.

(2) In the making of the said cupro-nickel coin a remedy (that is, a variation from thestandard weight, diameter or composition specified above) shall be allowed of an amount notexceeding the following, that is to say:

(a) a variation from the said standard weight of an amount per coin of 0.75 grammes;

(b) a variation from the said standard diameter of 0.125 millimetres per coin; and

(c) a variation from the said standard composition of two per centum copper and twoper centum nickel.

(3) The said cupro-nickel coin may contain impurities of three-quarters of one percentum.

(4) The variation from the standard weight will be measured as the average of a sampleof not more than one kilogram of the coin.

(5) The design of the said cupro-nickel coin shall be as follows:

DETERMINING THE SPECIFICATIONS AND DESIGN FOR A NEW SERIES OF SIXPENCE COINS IN GOLD

AND ROSE GOLD

ELIZABETH R. Whereas under section 3(1)(a), (b), (c), (cd) and (d) of the Coinage Act 1971 We have power, with the advice of Our Privy Council, by Proclamation to determine the denomination, the design and dimensions of coins to be made at Our Mint, to determine the weight and fineness of certain gold coins, the remedy to be allowed in the making of such coins and their least current weight, and to provide for the manner of measurement of the variation from the standard weight of coins:

And Whereas it appears to Us desirable to order that there should be made at Our Mint a new series of coins of the denomination of sixpence in gold and in rose gold: We, therefore, in pursuance of the said section 3(1)(a), (b), (c), (cd) and (d), and of all other powers enabling Us in that behalf, do hereby, by and with the advice of Our Privy Council, proclaim, direct and ordain as follows:

SIXPENCE GOLD COIN

1. (1) A new coin of gold of the denomination of sixpence shall be made, being a coin of a standard weight of 6.19 grammes, a standard diameter of 19.41 millimetres, a millesimal fineness of not less than 999, and being circular in shape.

(2) In the making of the said gold coin a remedy (that is, a variation from the standard weight or diameter specified above) shall be allowed of an amount not exceeding the following, that is to say:

(a) a variation from the said standard weight of an amount per coin of 0.05 grammes; and

(b) a variation from the said standard diameter 0.125 millimetres per coin.

(3) The least current weight of the said gold coin shall be 6.14 grammes.

(4) The variation from the standard weight will be measured as the average of a sample of not more than one kilogram of the coin.

(5) The design of the said gold coin shall be as follows:

‘For the obverse impression Our effigy with the inscription “· ELIZABETH II · DEI · GRA · REGINA · FID · DEF” and for the reverse a depiction of Our Royal Cypher surrounded by a floral motif with the inscription “SIXPENCE” and the date of the year. The coin shall have a grained edge.’

SIXPENCE ROSE GOLD COIN

2. (1) A new coin of rose gold of the denomination of sixpence shall be made, being a coin of a standard weight of 5.59 grammes, a standard diameter of 19.41 millimetres, a millesimal fineness of not less than 916.7, and being circular in shape.

(2) In the making of the said rose gold coin a remedy (that is, a variation from the standard weight or diameter specified above) shall be allowed of an amount not exceeding the following, that is to say:

(a) a variation from the said standard weight of an amount per coin of 0.05 grammes; and

(b) a variation from the said standard diameter of 0.125 millimetres per coin.

(3) The least current weight of the said rose gold coin shall be 5.54 grammes.

(4) The variation from the standard weight will be measured as the average of a sample of not more than one kilogram of the coin.

(5) The design of the said rose gold coin shall be as follows:

‘For the obverse impression Our effigy with the inscription “· ELIZABETH II · DEI · GRA · REGINA · FID · DEF” and for the reverse a depiction of Our Royal Cypher surrounded by a floral motif with the inscription “SIXPENCE” and the date of the year. The coin shall have a grained edge.’ 3. This Proclamation shall come into force on the eleventh day of March Two thousand and twenty-one. Given at Our Court at Windsor Castle, this tenth day of March in the year of Our Lord Two thousand and twenty-one and in the seventieth year of Our Reign.

ALTERING THE PROCLAMATION OF THE FOURTEENTH DAY OF OCTOBER 2020 TO DETERMINE NEW VARIATIONS FROM

THE STANDARD WEIGHT OF FIVE POUND SILVER COINS

ELIZABETH R. Whereas under section 3(1)(cd) and (h) of the Coinage Act 1971 We have power, with the advice of Our Privy Council, by Proclamation to provide for the variation from the standard weight of coins to be made at Our Mint, and to alter any Proclamation previously made under the said section:

And Whereas by Our Proclamation dated the fourteenth day of October 2020 We determined, among other matters, a variation from the standard weight of coins of the denomination of five pounds in silver: And Whereas it appears to Us desirable to determine a new variation for the said silver coins: We, therefore, in pursuance of the said section 3(1)(cd) and (h) and of all other powers enabling Us in that behalf, do hereby, by and with the advice of Our Privy Council, proclaim, direct and ordain as follows: 1. In paragraph 7(2)(a) of Our said Proclamation of the fourteenth day of October 2020, for ‘0.195 grammes’ there shall be substituted ‘1.1 grammes’. 2. This Proclamation shall come into force on the eleventh day of March Two thousand and twenty-one. Given at Our Court at Windsor Castle, this tenth day of March in the year of Our Lord Two thousand and twenty-one and in the seventieth year of Our Reign.

It is this day ordered by Her Majesty in Council that the Right Honourable the Lord High Chancellor do cause the Great Seal of the Realm to be affixed to the four Proclamations of this day’s date: 1. determining the specifications and design for a new series of one hundred pound gold

coins; a new series of two pound silver coins; and a new series of five pound cupro-nickel coins;

2. determining the specifications and design for a new series of sixpence coins in gold and

rose gold; 3. altering the Proclamation of the fourteenth day of October 2020 to determine new

variations from the standard weight of five pound silver coins; 4. altering the Proclamation of the sixteenth day of December 2020 to determine new

variations from the standard weight of five pound fine proof silver coins.

The following report from the Committee of Council for the Affairs of Jersey andGuernsey was today read at the Board:

“In accordance with Your Majesty’s General Order of Reference of 22nd February1952 the Committee have considered a letter from the Deputy Greffier of the States of Jerseytransmitting an Act passed on 17th December 2020 entitled the Health Insurance Fund(Miscellaneous Provisions) (Amendment No. 2) (Jersey) Law 2021:

“The Committee have considered the Act and have agreed to report that it may beadvisable for Your Majesty to approve and ratify it.”

Her Majesty, having taken the report into consideration, was pleased, by and with theadvice of Her Privy Council, to approve and ratify the Act (a copy of which is annexed to thisOrder) and to order that it, together with this Order, shall be entered on the Register of theIsland of Jersey and observed accordingly. Her Majesty’s Officers in the Island, and allothers whom it may concern, are therefore to take notice of Her Majesty’s Order and toproceed accordingly.

The following report from the Committee of Council for the Affairs of Jersey and Guernsey was today read at the Board:

“In accordance with Your Majesty’s General Order of Reference of 22nd February 1952 the Committee have considered a Petition of the States of Guernsey:

“That, in pursuance of their Resolutions of 16th March 2016, 27th February 2020 and 22nd April 2020, the States of Deliberation at a meeting on 22nd April 2020 approved a Projet de Loi entitled the Capacity (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2020 and requested the Bailiff to present a most humble Petition to Your Majesty in Council praying for Your Royal Sanction to it. That the States of the Island of Alderney at a meeting held on 10th June 2020 considered the Projet de Loi when a Resolution was passed agreeing to the application to Alderney. That the Chief Pleas of the Island of Sark at a meeting held on 8th July 2020 considered the Projet de Loi when a Resolution was passed agreeing to the application to Sark. That the Projet de Loi is as set forth in the attached Schedule. The Petition most humbly prays that Your Majesty might be graciously pleased to sanction the Capacity (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2020, and to order that it shall have force of law in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.

“The Committee have considered the Projet de Loi and have agreed to report that it may be advisable for Your Majesty to approve and ratify it”.

The Petition most humbly prays that Your Majesty might be graciously pleased to sanction the Real Property (Transfer Tax, Charging and Related Provisions) (Amendment) (Sark) Law, 2020, and to order that it shall have force of law in the Island of Sark.

“The Committee have considered the Projet de Loi and have agreed to report that it
