Target Audiences• Women

− The movie can appeal to women through a love and drama angle, within the tension and emotions between Guy, Clarisse, and Mildred.

• Men– Men will enjoy this movie because of the violence

and action aspects of the movie, such as Guy’s actions and the results of the ongoing war.

• Teenagers– Teenagers can be encouraged to see the movie

because of its violence and action, such as in the action during the time when the hound is hunting Guy.

• Literary and Non-Literary People– People who have read the book will come to see how the

movie and book compare, and those who have not will see it for enjoyment.

• Those concerned with controversial issues– The movie involves burning books, and the book has

been, in the past, banned, due to language and the fact that they burn the bible.

• People who enjoy science fiction– Ray Bradbury is an author that is well known for his

science fiction works, and the futuristic element of the book exemplifies that.

Due to violence, religious issues, and strong language.

The violent nature is seen in Guy’s actions after he

is caught with his books, when he brutally murders Captain Beatty. The bible is also burned,

contributing to the religious factors.

The average movie takes roughly 15 months to produce, however, Fahrenheit 451 calls for special affects, which will take extra time to produce. The extra allotted time will allow for the effects to be perfected,

and the time will be well utilized.
