What is eHCL The Hunterdon County Library has expanded its digital services with eHCL downloadable eBooks Library eBooks can be downloaded anytime anywhere by visiting the digital site at httphclibraryliboverdrivecom The service is free for patrons with a library card To use the service browse the eHCL website first select and checkout an eBook then download it to your PC Mac mobile device or eRead-er If unable to locate a title on eHCL then go to Digital Library NJ at DigitalLibraryNJcom and search there Ebooks automatically expire at the end of the lending period and there are no late fees Some devices will require the installation of free software -- Adobe Digital Editions on computers if you have an ereader the OverDrive Media Console app on mobile devices Amazon Kindles do not require additional software Library eBooks are compatible with a variety of devices including the iPad Sony Readers Kindles and more Need more help Visit the libraryrsquos eBook webpage hclibraryusebookshtml The library also offers eBook and eReader workshops see list of programs for dates and times

Think back to a gentler time when Memorial Day heralded the arrival of summer and summer meant vaca-tion - no cares no responsibilities few distractions Want to do more of that reading and relaxing this sum-mer Take a moment to join the Adult Summer Reading Club which will give you ldquopermissionrdquo to take a carefree vacation from everyday hassles by losing yourself in adventurehellip romancehellip mysteryhellip all between the covers of a book Benefits include being entered into a weekly prize drawing for each book you finish You get access to the blog where you can write reviews andor find good books to read based on other membersrsquo reviews There is a sense of community as you read toward your goal knowing that many others are doing the same There is even an end-of-summer party The clubrsquos biggest benefit is that it reminds you to spend some of those fleeting summer days engrossed in a good book The club runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend The club is off to a great start It is not too late to join Join anytime by going to httpwwwhclibraryusasrchtm
