TANZANIA PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM (TPP) In-Country Assistant Program Officer Position Description The TPP Assistant Program Officer will support program coordination and implementation of the Tanzania Partnership Program (TPP). This position reports to the TPP In-Country Program Officer. RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to): Assist the TPP Program Officer to implement TPP activities in pilot villages. Support the TPP Program Officer in preparing program plans and monthly progress reports (physical and financial) and other deliverables. Assist in maintaining relations and communications with TPP partners, TPP collaborators, local TPP team, district government, village leaders, community members and non-governmental organization that are involved in TPP activities. Oversee logistics and other travel arrangements for TPP partners and collaborators. Maintain TPP records system, documentation, library, and office equipment. Support TPP partners to do TPP related research, obtain research clearance when needed, facilitate District government and community relationships, provide logistical support, and disseminate a summary of research results to District government and communities. Support management of TPP finances and financial reporting including collection of receipts. Other work as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree required. A degree in Community Development, Sociology, or Social Work is preferred At least 3 years work experience after the first degree in international development projects or international development organizations within Tanzania. Experience working with government officials, international institutions, and local or international NGOs. Possess good writing, editing, and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English and Kiswahili. Proficiency in MS Office, specifically MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

of a project.

Understand and appreciate local cultures, ways of entry and rapport building for facilitating
