Meiringen is one of the most impressive shooting locations in Europe, if not the world, and the Swiss AF will be in full action. We will cover the Hornets

and Tigers in every conceivable way possible!Due to the unique nature of the Swiss AF’s operations, the military rotates its operations throughout its main bases, which offers some fantastic photography opportunities. During this Assignment, the Hornets and Tigers will be operating out of Meiringen and will be on Repetition Training during this period, guaranteeing action as far as possible.

This is not an operational squadron visit, but a guided visit to the best locations to shoot the action in the company of professional photographers that will be on hand at all times to guide you through the process.

When not shooting the evening/night launches, you are offered the opportunity for personal critique and/or editing skills.

Assignment #23: Swiss AF ops, Meiringen

AG1: Shoot the Swiss AF fighters in operation.

AG2: Photograph in all weathers, day and night.

AG3: Photograph in different locations, using different skills.

The Programme & Itinerary...

This is a visit outside a fully operational military base and every aspect of this visit is subject to security, operational, technical or weather issues. As such, COAP and IAAT are not responsible for cancellation at any stage or non-flying activity. Safety and Insurance is your own responsibility and risk. We are not guests of the Swiss AF, and will be using the public access areas during the flight activity. Please note that access around the operational areas of the airbase is physically demanding and unfortunately anyone using a wheelchair, walking sticks or crutches may not be suitable for this Assignment. It will be in all weathers, very intense and physically demanding for long hours. For your own safety, you must be able to walk unaided, and often quickly for distances of up to several hundred yards/meters; your inability to do this may interfere with personal and flight safety.
