2—The STAR test is ONLY accurate if the student tries his/her best. Depending upon teacher’s discipline and motivation for students, results can vary.
3—It’s a good read of how well our students have met standards. Some concern in the Spring regarding “over testing” during AP exams, etc.
4—Excellent test in that the rubric breaks writing into key areas for assessment, including organization, grammar and mechanics, etc.
4—May vary from teacher to teacher, but generally our projects help us to provide students with required rigor

To what degree do users of the assessment find it useful or not useful?1 – not useful2 – somewhat useful 3 – useful4 – very usefulExplain why.
4 – teachers would not assign projects if they were not critical to their subject areas
2 – students are given an overall score out of 4; tests things they learned in 8th and early on in 9th grade as well as what they learned this year (a large amount of material over a long period of time); teachers use this and the provided strengths and weaknesses to adjust teaching strategies in these courses
2/3 – the growth students make indicates to us how much they have learned in each subject area over the course of the year based on required state standards
3 – results seem to somewhat correlate with quarter grades – helps teachers see if they need to reteach something (this can also be seen by smaller chapter tests and quizzes as well)
