Two types of Assessments are: Assessment FOR Learning and
Assessment OF learning
The Assessment OF Learning Reason to check where the students are To Inform others of how the student is
learning The focus standards and benchmarks
which are the focal point of the instruction (summative assessments )
Teacher’s role administer the learning and use the results to develop classroom tests and assign grades to show achievement.
Student’s goal meet the standard in order to avoid failure.
Two types of Assessments are: Assessment FOR Learning and
Assessment OF learning The Assessment FOR Learning
Reason to improve learning To Inform involve the students in the teacher’s
instruction The focus to ensure that students are achieving
their learning targets(formative assessments ) Teacher’s role to change standards into classroom
targets and provide descriptive feedback to inform and involve students in their learning
