PROTECT YOUR IDENTITYEach year, as many as 9 million American identities are stolen. To help protect your identity, follow these important tips:

• Keep your identification documents and other documents containing personal information in a safe place.

• Be alert to suspicious offers by phone, mail, text, and email. Do not share personal information over the phone, by mail, text, or online.

• Protect your electronic devices against viruses and malware with security and firewall software. Visit OnGuardOnline.gov for more information.

• Review your free credit report every year for free with Equifax in April, Experian in July, and TransUnion in December. The official site for all three bureaus is www.annualcreditreport.com. You may also call:• Equifax: 800.685.1111• Experian: 888.397.3742• TransUnion: 800.680.7289

• Report any suspicions of identity theft to your local 19th Precinct at 212.452.0600 and file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/features/feature-0014-identity-theft, or call 1-877-ID-THEFT (1.877.43.84338).

• COME TO OUR SHRED-A-THON and bring personal documents you no longer need!
