Recommendations (1) Across disciplines

1. User communities need to collaborate between them and with the national (NRENs)and international (DANTE/TERENA)network research providers in order to provide the adequate network services at the right places (very high speed, private connections, temporarily connections with specific parameters,...)and at affordable and optimised cost.

2. Define standardised data sets in order to profit from economies of scale for the creation and use of value added services.

3. Define standardised data sets for easier accessibility of data.4. Adopt a common metadata standard that takes into account multi-

disciplinary use of data.

Recommendations (2)

5. Continue the work to create a global AAI that can be adopted by all user communities, e-infrastructure providers and ICT service providers by building on existing infrastructures and improving handling credentials with different levels of assurance.

6. Create common mechanisms and procedures among disciplines to do authentication of source data.

7. Collaborate among all disciplines to create tools , using innovative techniques, to assist in data curation and selection of data that has to be preserved.

Recommendations (3)

Within disciplines8.Create clear storage/preservation and curation

rules. 9.Define clear rules for making the data

available.
