Syndicate 4711 is managed by Aspen Managing Agency Limited (AMAL) and has a single corporate member (“Name”), Aspen Underwriting Limited (AUL), which provides its underwriting capital. AMAL and AUL are both wholly owned subsidiaries of Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited (AIHL). For 2017, the Syndicate has a stamp capacity of £550 million, comprising a varied and diverse risk portfolio. ASPEN SYNDICATE 4711 Our team of experts write specialty business on a worldwide basis. Our specialty insurance offering includes: aviation; credit insurance, contract frustration, political risk, terrorism, political violence and war on land; energy property damage; financial institutions; global casualty; kidnap, ransom and piracy; marine, energy and construction liability; marine hull; professional lines (including professional indemnity, directors’ and officers’/management and technology liability); and specie. The Syndicate also writes space reinsurance as well as property, casualty and specialty reinsurance in Brazil. Drawing on our product expertise, we offer first class service supported by a full range of modelling and analysis capabilities as well as a proven, fast and efficient claims- handling service. As with all Lloyd’s Syndicates, Aspen Syndicate 4711 benefits from Lloyd’s central resources, including the Lloyd’s brand with its unparalleled reputation, its network of global licences and the Central Fund. As all Lloyd’s policies are ultimately backed by this common security, a single market rating can be applied to all syndicates post-1992. Lloyd’s currently enjoys an A (Excellent) rating from A.M. Best an AA- (Very Strong) rating from Fitch Ratings and an A+ (Strong) rating from Standard & Poor’s.
