We are proud to introduce the American Sports Lighting

Plug-n-Play System. The Plug-n-Play System is complete

from the ground up, including poles from 40’ to 120’, service

platforms, cross arms, pre-wired capabilities, and a remote

ballast system. The Plug-n-Play System features the Day-

Brite League Lighter floodlight and the new, specification

grade, PM2 luminaire.

Now any outdoor field, from Baseball to Volleyball– recre-

ational to professional – can be effectively and economically

lit with the Plug-n-Play System. The American Sports Lighting

Team makes it easy! With answers to a few basic questions,

American Sports Lighting will layout, specify, price, and build

a complete system that will meet a project’s performance and

budget requirements, no matter how large or small.

Though newly introduced to the game, American Sports

Lighting brings together people with decades of experi-

ence and knowledge in sports lighting. Let American Sports

Lighting put its unique blend of youthful enthusiasm and

dedicated experience to work for you today!

The American Sports Lighting Team is ready to provide you

with the following information:

Application Layout

Complete layouts for any outdoor field, including point by points and aiming diagrams.

Specifications

Complete and detailed specifications for every-thing from the anchor bolts to the top of the pole.

Bill of Materials

Clear and concise bills for easy ordering and mis-take-free identification on the job site.

Quotations

Exact pricing to the bill of materials, including any accessories.

Quality Components

High-quality, durable products delivered directly to the job site complete, correct and on-time.

SELECTING THE PLUG-N-PLAY SYSTEM

Answers to these few basic questions, which can be easily determined from information in the next few pages,

will ensure the American Sports Lighting Plug-n-Play System is properly built for each field:

Determine Project Specifics

❑ What type of field?

❑ What’s the level of play (recreational, high school, etc.)? Level of play determines light levels, which helps to determine the type and quantity of luminaires.

❑ Are there any site considerations (pole positioning, light trespass, height restrictions, etc.)

Determine Pole Mounting

❑ Choose from three convenient mountings: anchor base, stub base or direct embed.

Determine Luminaire Mounting Style

❑ Service Platforms – side or top mount

❑ Cross Arms – side or top mount

Determine Installation

❑ Plug-n-Play System to be wired on-site?

❑ American Sports Lighting to pre-wire for easy “plug and play” installation

❑ Remote Ballast enclosure with pre-wired electrical components; shipped ready for mounting to the pole on-site.

Now, let the American Sports Lighting Team take it from here!

Unique integral carrying handle is contractor-friendly and facilitates fast and easy, two-bolt installation with the ballast weight centered directly over cross arm or platform.

The high performance Day-Brite PM2 features a uniquely designed lamp and reflector sys-tem that, by positioning the lamp vertically, maxi-mizes lamp performance for efficient lighting of sporting fields from rec-reational to professional levels, indoors or out.

Precision spun and anodized alumi-num two-part reflector system. Upper reflector is mounted directly to the housing, while the lower reflec-tor latches to the upper for easy installation and lamp replacement.

Impact-resistant tempered glass lens is silicone sealed to the lower reflector.

Revolutionary socket and upper reflector design positions the lamp vertically, maximizing arc tube lumen output and life com-pared to horizontal-positioned lamp systems.

Socket housing and built-in protractor provide full range of motion for accurate, repeatable aiming. Reflector lock ensures precise repositioning after relamping.

Heavy-duty die cast aluminum housing positions electrical components for cool opera-tion, allowing installations indoors or out. Formed steel upper housing protects inter-nal components.

ANCHOR BASEAnchor base is the traditional mounting method for steel sports system poles. Anchor bolts are

cast into a poured concrete foundation, and the foundation is strengthened with steel reinforcing

bars (foundation and steel reinforcement by others). Properly sized anchor bolts, designed for each

pole size, and positioning templates are provided with each pole to ensure accurate positioning of

the pole.

American Sports Lighting poles are

constructed from heavy-duty, single

ply sheet steel. Each shaft is formed

into a tubular shape with longitu-

dinal welds, producing very strong

poles that will withstand years of

abuse from the elements without

fail. The poles have been carefully

engineered and analyzed to perform

in wind speeds ranging from 70

to 120 m.p.h. plus a 1.3 wind gust

factor.

Each of the American Sports

Lighting poles, in either anchor

base, stub base or direct embed,

can accommodate any of the cross

arms or platforms, as well as the

remote ballast or pre-wired sys-

tem enclosures. The pole shafts are

available galvanized or polyester

powder coated for protection from

the elements.

STUB BASEThe unique Stub Base dramatically simplifies on-site installation. The Stub Base has an integrally welded

flange plate that mates with the pole structure. The base is dropped into the ground, stubbed out for

wiring, and then concrete is poured around it to secure it structurally (concrete supplied by others). The

pole and luminaire structure is simply set onto the flange and bolted into place. Slotted bolt holes on both

flange plates allow for any fine-tuning in aiming of the assembly.

DIRECT EMBEDDirect embed is yet another traditional method for installing sports lighting poles. Each pole height

has been engineered with a pre-determined embedding depth. Once the lighting structure has been

assembled, the pole is lifted and dropped into the ground at its pre-determined depth. The hole is

then back-filled with concrete to secure the entire structure (concrete supplied by others).
