Every one of us is here for a
unique and special purpose
You are Guided by Your Dharma• Law – the law and order of things; the
way things move and work together. The Universal Law
• Agreements we create with each other
• Buddhist Teachings – ‘the way”, “the way of truth”
• Movement of evolution
• Unique thread of you in the vast tapestry of creation, of the Universe
• The more YOU you can be, the more colorful and fully blossomed this tapestry becomes
§ An acorn contains within it all that is needed
for it to grow into a might oak tree. All that is
needed are the right conditions for it to take
root and sprout.
§ In the same way, you also are born with all
that you need to blossom into the unique
person you are. What is needed are the
“right conditions” for your own blossoming.
The “seed” that is your soul contains all that is
needed to live an authentic life, to live as your
True Self.
What is Needed for Authentic Living?
• Clarity
• Recognize Your Freedom
• Cultivate Joy
• Learn to Receive
• Practice Gratitude
Clarity• Clarity is knowing what is important to you
• Clarity is not something you reach and then have
from then on. It’s a refinement of aligning with the
truth of your values.
• Clarity can be a process of letting go of confusion
• The clearer your energy is, the less you will be
affected by others.
• Question: What is Important to you?!
Recognize Your Freedom• Freedom is the ability to choose what YOU want
• Freedom is knowing that you own your own life, you
are in charge
• You are free to make choices on your own behalf
• To create more freedom in your life, look at areas
where you have all ready created freedom
• Where in your life do you experience freedom?
§ True joy comes from operating with inner-directedness and recognizing who you are
§ What brings joy into your life? Do you know? Are you aware of what makes you happy?
§ How often do you allow yourself to do what you love? What gets in the way? What is one step you can do to do more of what you love?
§ What you love is a sign of what you are here for and whatyou are to do
Cultivate Joy
§ The path of compassion does not obligate you to love everyone regardless of how they act or who they are. It is a path of seeing the truth of who they are, acknowledging all their parts. It is the path of looking at people and asking if there is anything you can do to heal, assist, or bring them in touch with their higher vision. If there is not, you are pulling down your own energy by spending time with them.
~ Sanaya Roman, Living with Joy – Keys to Personal Power & Spiritual Transformation
The path of joy involves valuing yourself and monitoring where you put your time
“Do not ask what the world needs, ask what makes you come
alive. Because what the world needs is people who have come
alive.” ~ Howard Thurman
§ Learning to receive is learning to ask for the essence of what you want, and not the form
§ For example, what is the essence of what you want by losingweight?
§ Be willing to do what your soul directs you to do if you want to create what you are asking for
§ Be open to newness, new experiences, new ways of being
Learn to Receive
§ You can shift your energy by looking around and recognizing the good things you have and saying “Thank you”
§ Whatever you appreciate and give thanks for will increase in your life
§ The resonance of gratitude vibrates in your heart center. As yougive thanks, you open your heart.
§ What things do you appreciate having in your life right now?
§ What good things about yourself do you appreciate?
Practice Gratitude

You have made very deep promises between your Soul and your Self.
Now is the time to carve your place into the memory of this planet earth
and serve this promise. May your journey complete its way to your
destiny. And may you understand the preciousness of your own life.”
~ Yogi Bhajan
