Day 1/Wed., Feb. 27: Depart Milwaukee to Papeete, Tahiti. Board your flight this morning in Milwaukee for Papeete. Upon arrival in the evening you will be transferred from the airport to the hotel where you will spend the night awaiting your tropical cruise in the morning. Day 2/Thu., Feb. 28: Depart Papeete - 6:00 pm. This afternoon you will be transferred from the hotel to the dock to board your Windstar Cruise vessel, the Wind Spirit. You will depart Papeete at 6:00 pm to begin your cruise in paradise! Day 3/Fri., March 1: Moorea - 6:00 am to 5:00 pm. During your stay in Moorea you’ll have plenty of time to do it all. Raiatea, “The Sacred Island,” is located just across the lagoon from Tahaa and shares the same barrier reef. (Legend claims the two were a single island until a conger eel possessed by the spirit of a princess separated them.) It used to be the center of religion and culture in the Society Islands. Taputapuatea, on the southeast coast, was once the most important marae around, the place where kings from the neighboring islands would gather for important ceremonies. Uturoa, the main town, reminds some people of Papeete in its younger days with its quaint low-rise buildings. Raiatea is also home to the only navigable river in the islands, the Fa’aroa. Explore Polynesian history or climb Mount Temehani in search of the rare tiare apetahi flower, which grows only here. Day 5/Sun., March 3: Depart Raiatea, Motu Mahaea - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. About Your Ship - The Wind Spirit Built in 1988, the Bahamian-registered Wind Spirit is a sail-assisted motor ship with sails that unfurl in a couple of minutes at the touch of a computerized control button. The ship is largely powered by a diesel engine and runs at a speed of 11 knots, up to 15.8 with the right winds. Officially designated as a four-mast schooner, the 5,350-ton, 360-ft, four-deck vessel feels more like a luxurious yacht.

With the distinctive profile of a large yacht and maritime atmosphere within, the ship immediately pleases the eye. The main lounge, located aft, has a sailing-ship-style skylight over the dance floor that rises into an attractive centerpiece for the open deck above. It becomes the social venue before and after meals and provides light entertainment after dinner. An adjacent space houses a small casino with tables and slot machines.

The wood-paneled dining room offers open-sitting flexibility, and dress is always casual. Entrees may include linguine with frutti di mare, crisp duck breast and grilled filet mignon. Dinner is served there, while the Veranda provides glass-enclosed protection for breakfast and lunch, with additional sheltered tables out on deck under parasols. Food is available from a menu or the buffet. At breakfast, the chef prepares omelets and pancakes and, at lunch, a pasta dish or perhaps bouillabaisse. A dinner, referred to as Candles, for up to 30 takes place at the Veranda, offering steaks and skewered meats and seafood at no extra charge. It is a romantic setting under the stars, with tables arranged around the pool.

The daytime gathering spot is the lido, partly a covered lounge with sit-up bar and partly an open area with a small pool for dipping, a whirlpool tub, deck chairs and cushioned mats. The watersports program is a big draw and includes diving instruction and snorkeling in several ports, as well as complimentary use of sailboats, sailboards, banana boats and kayaks that are launched from the marine deck. Other lures include a sauna, fitness center, boutique and beauty salon. Wireless internet access is available throughout the ship.

The 74 similar teak-accented cabins arranged on two decks measure 188 sq ft, have ample stowage, and are all outsides with a pair of sizable portholes. Each has a flat-screen TV with CD and DVD player (hundreds of movies and CDs in the library), phone, minibar, safe, and queen bed that converts to twins. Baths boast hair dryers and robes. The baths have been remodeled, and all the soft furnishings have been renewed.

TOUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

I.D./Citizenship: Travelers must possess a valid form of ID with names matching those on their tour and flight reservations.

Complete name, gender and birth date are required to confirm reservations per TSA/airline requirements. If name must be

changed to match your ID later, change fees and penalties may be imposed.

Deposits and Payments: Please make checks payable to Burkhalter Travel. Most major credit cards are also accepted, although

sometimes a cash discount may be offered. A deposit of $1250 per person is required to secure reservations. All tour

confirmations are subject to receipt of signed tour application and payment verification. Final payment is due by or before

November 15, 2018.

Cancellations/Refunds: All cancellations must be in writing and are subject to a $50 Burkhalter Travel service fee that may not be

covered by tour operator insurance. In addition to the service fee and possible airline penalties, tour cancellation penalties are

as follows: 120-90 days prior to departure: Deposit; 89-60 days prior: 35%; 59-30 days prior: 50%; 29-0 days prior: 100%.

No refund will apply on unused portions of the tour. If a roommate cancels, the remaining traveler may have to pay any single

room supplement that is incurred. Name changes and departure date changes are considered reservation cancellations and are

subject to cancellation fees. Once issued, airline tickets are 100% non-refundable.

Travel insurance is strongly advised in order to protect your investment. Coverage for trip cancellation, interruption/delay, and

medical emergency expenses is available - ask your agent for information.

Tour Conditions: This tour is based on a minimum of 30 travelers. All arrangements are based upon tariffs in effect on 8/16/18

and are subject to change. Once deposit has been received, any changes to air or land arrangements may be assessed a $50

revision fee. Revision fees may be higher once air is ticketed.

Air Transportation: The airfare portion of the tour pricing is subject to change until ticketed. Airline schedules are subject to

change by the airlines at any time. Group seat assignments are usually done by the airline for the entire group, and changes

are subject to availability, which may be limited.

Accommodations/Coach Transportation: Tour hotels are first class or better and may offer one or two beds. Touring coaches are

deluxe vehicles with panoramic windows and seats that partially recline. Single travelers are allocated one seat only. Since it is

not possible to set temperatures to suit everyone on a motorcoach, you may want to bring a sweater.

Traveler Fitness: Travelers should be in reasonably good health, able to get on and off the motorcoach in a timely manner, climb

stairs and walk moderate distances over uneven ground. Individuals with physical and/or cognitive limitations must be

accompanied by an able individual who will assume complete responsibility for them - tour personnel will not provide this kind

of assistance.

Passenger Consent Agreement: Department of Transportation regulations require that we inform you that your purchase is subject

to supplemental price increases beyond our control that may be imposed after the date of purchase. Such increases may come

about due to increased fees, fuel surcharges, government tax increases, or any combination of these events. Post-purchase price

increases may be applied to your invoice due to these unforeseen cost increases from suppliers. While a post-purchase price

increase is rare and not anticipated, Burkhalter Travel will inform you of any increases as soon as possible. By signing the tour

application and making your deposit, you are acknowledging that you have been made aware and accept the fact that such

increases may occur, and that you agree to pay Burkhalter Travel accordingly.

Responsibility: Burkhalter Travel Agency, Inc., Wisconsin Public Radio, Windstar Cruises, their sales agents and tour personnel and

any IATAN and connecting ARC carriers act only in capacity of agent for the passenger in all matters pertaining to hotel

accommodations, sightseeing tours and any means of transportation, and as such, hold themselves free of responsibility for any

damages from any causes whatsoever, including any loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned by reason of

defect in any vehicle or for the conduct of such other parties. Burkhalter Travel Agency, Inc. will not be responsible for any

damage, expense or inconvenience caused by late transportation arrivals or departures, or by any change of schedule or other

conditions; nor will they be responsible for the loss of, or damage to, baggage or any article belonging to the passenger. In the

event that it becomes necessary or advisable for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to, acts of war, terrorism,

disease or acts of God, to withdraw the tour or to alter the itinerary or arrangements, such alterations will be made without

savings is effected thereby. Although no changes or substitutions are anticipated at the time of brochure production, participants
