Ashton Area Chamber of Commerce Business Spotlight: The next Ashton Area Chamber of Commerce meeting will be Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018 @ noon @ our new location...The Main Office on Main Street. Last Henrys Fork Farmers Market Sept. 14th! Homecoming Week Sept. 10-14th Homecoming Parade will be at 10am Friday and Alumni Assembly @ 1pm. Spud Harvest Sept. 24—Oct. 5th. No School. Watch for upcoming information about the un- veiling of new sculpture in the pocket park. Its Harvest Time! Please be patient and watch for trucks and tractors. We are looking forward for the new sidewalk extension at the east end of town. Henry’s Fork Farmers Market began back in 2010 when farmer’s markets were starting to become quite popular in the bigger cities. So a group of individuals got together and went to a class in Pocatello on how to begin your own farmer’s market in your town. Making sure they have a lot of agriculture based items and homemade items at the market, the Henry’s Fork Farmers Market is finishing up their 9th year in business. With their location in the grassy area across from Trail’s Inn and next door to Dr. Toenjes office. The Henry’s Fork Farmers Market will be every Friday from 4-7pm from June 15th –September 14th. Some items one might find at the market are fresh raised eggs, homemade breads, homemade jams & jellies, homemade soap, nice blankets and afghans, yummy homemade candies, and fresh produce. Henry’s Fork Farmers Market would love for you to “Share the bounty of your garden” at only $7.00/week for a booth. So, if you are lucky to grow a nice bountiful garden this summer and just can’t eat it all, this might be the ticket for you! When you have a chance this summer, we at the Ashton Chamber of Commerce encourage you to check out the Henry’s Fork Farmers Market, and you might find something that you will enjoy.
