The Colours are mostly red and yellow. The yellow symbolises ‘Cheese’ and the teen punk type music of the cover band and the red goes with the lead singers hair.

Kerrang stands for the sound made when smashing a guitar, this is related to rock music because after a concert bands smash their guitars and it is to show that the band stands for loud music because of the sub title ‘life is loud’

kerrang targets mostly men 18 + and it targets rock lovers who go to gigs and buy all the albums of their favourite bands.

Kerrang has been going since 1981 so although it is based around rock and metal the sub genres fluctuate a lot. Right now they are doing emo and metal core but they have done a lot of punk and thrash rock

The publisher of this magazine is Bauer who also publishes for Q magazine

The magazines cost is £1.99 and the magazine is about music artists. It discusses the new albums they've released, tours, facts about bands, articles which list bands and songs that have done a specific thing like top 25 head bangers and top 25 rock stars who changed your world
