You can see that in the first four minutes of this Hollyoaks episode it has a ‘previously sequence in which it shows the characters that will be in this episode and what the story of these characters will be about.

In the ‘previously’ sequence Hollyoaks has shown that Texas and Will have an argument leading to Will falling down the stairs. Also you see Myra receiving negative results about her scans. And Mercedes having an argument.

In the opening sequence for Hollyoaks it has a special part for each of the characters and I feel it shows what that character is like with the colours, clothing and items in them.

Here you can see dodge being kissed by two separate woman showing that he could be a ‘ladies man’

Here you can see behind Mercedes is a very dark background showing that she may be a bad or dark person, very argumentative…

Texas looks very sad showing that she may not be the most fortunate of people

All of the words surrounding Will show that he is very thoughtful and quite smart

Here you can see the high angle camera angle has been used in which shows the distance that Will has fallen and show that this situation is deadly towards Will.

A medium shot has been used as it can show the detail of action of her running. Here you can see Texas is wearing a dress so you can clearly see that she has just come from a party. You can see the urgency as she runs down the stairs on her face in which shows how Will could potentially be dead.

Here you can see a small pool of blood in which shows how serious the situation is. A close up shot has been used to show Will’s face as pale and lifeless with his eyes closed.

Here another close up shot has been used to show how emotional Texas is after seeing Will in this situation.

In this long shot it shows that the girl shouting down to support Texas isnt vital in the scene as she also is not in focus

Here is a mid shot in which shows Texas crying and holding Will.

You can see that the shot zooms out into a long shot in which shows people coming to comfort them as she screams for help

This mid shot shows this man as smacking on the door, and shows his shirt in which indicates he has also just come from a party. His facial expression shows that he is determined to talk to dodger.

In this mid shot you can see that the room is very small so dodger has clearly locked himself away in a confined room to possibly get away from things. His facial expression also shows his frustration.

This low shot shows that the camera is in the view of dodge and shows that he is of importance.

This mid shot shows that mercedes is drinking and so therefore is probably having a stressful night or an argument.

This close up shows how mercedes is trying to get her point across very angrily. This shows that she can be a very aggressive woman.
