The India-Vietnam Bilateral Army Exercise (VINBAX-2018) was conducted at

Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. It is the first military exercise between the two

countries

The second indigenously built offshore patrol vessel (OPV) named Vijaya for

Indian Coast Guard (ICG) was launched at Kattupalli Shipyard, Tamil Nadu

Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) chaired by Union Defence Minister Nirmala

Rescue exercise between Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and Japan Coast Guard (JCG)

was held near Chennai, Tamil Nadu in Bay of Bengal

China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy has commissioned Rizhao, a new missile

frigate, in a naval port in Dalian, China. It is China’s indigenous missile frigate

named after Rizhao city in Shandong Province of China.

According to New World Wealth Report, India was ranked sixth in list of wealthiest

countries

overtaken US to become the world’s third largest steel producer in 2017.
