DEFINITION
ART VULUPS (Art as a Vehicle to Understand Land Use
Planning and Sustainability) Project is a didactical Public
Art approach for the dissemination of Land Use Planning
and Sustainability concepts through artistic expression.
This project is an interdisciplinary and collaborative
effort between Urban Planners, Artists and Educators.

The ART VULUPS Project's mission is:
•to teach and create awareness about land use
concepts and sustainability practices;
•to spark critical thinking;
•to engage the individual into a constructive dialog;

The ART VULUPS concept incorporates all forms of
traditional and non-traditional artistic expression including
painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, music, dance,
literature, poetry, video production and more.
