ARTMOORHOUSE ‘Drawing Classes’ are designed for complete beginners to those with more experience. Our Classes are developed and taught by Professional Artists. The course is designed to be hands on creative sessions, challenging, fun, aimed to inspire and encourage confidence. In a stress-free and relaxing environment easels and drawing boards will be set up together with a basic overview of art materials, including paper, pencils and charcoal. Core skills will be taught in a module structured over a period of 5 weeks with two hour class scheduled every Tuesday evening from 6.00pm to 8.00pm We facilitate creative sessions and drawing classes for businesses, providing an affordable alternative to more conventional team building or activity ideas.

DRAWING CLASSES TEACHER: MARTINA SCHMUECKER

MARTINA SCHMUECKER’s course is designed for anyone who is interested in learning to draw objects and surroundings from sight as well as explore free ways to interpret the natural world and arranged sets through different media.

Anyone from absolute beginners to advanced students with prior experience in art or design is welcome to come join in. No matter how inexperienced you are you will be able to learn in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoy producing beautiful drawings.

A series of experiments and drawing exercises will introduce you to new ways of looking at your environment. You will learn to create depth and space on the page and gain confidence in drawing large-scale compositions and explore line, tone, shape, form and mark-making using a variety of drawingmediums.

Each student will be encouraged to follow their individual approach and developing their own visual language or style through drawing. The results can be discussed in the end in a group feedback session.

By the end of the course you will be able to:

• Draw any subject: including from objects and space • Use a variety of drawing media • Develop personal research using a sketchbook or visual diary • Draw in a public space e.g. in museums or galleries • Develop more personal projects in drawing

Basic materials such as paper and pencils as well as other drawing materials will be provided. You are welcome to bring along materials to work with that are of interest to you and particular to your project.
