everybody in the class. Love subject (falling in love, friendship,

romantic love, disillussion, sexual love, cheating…)

Why: you use the lyrics to support your argument.

1978 Number one in Britain and in USA. Dance music. It deals with disilussion and survival. Official video and lyrics Disilussion, because it says in the chorus

“now go, walk out the door, just turn around now, ‘cause you’re not welcome any more…” to a lover that probably “has hurt her with goodbyes”.

Survival because “I will survive” is repeated in the chorus many times. Also, because it’s the title of the song.

Gloria Gaynor and Wet, Wet, Wet deal with love in two very different ways: the Scottish band deals with the typical romantic side of love, whereas the African-American singer refers to a more frustrating aspect of love such as disilussion.
