Strip turf, removing all the grassdown by an average thickness of40mm with a motorised turfcutter or spade.*

Spread and level 35mm ofsharp builders sand.

Compact sand using eithera builders plank and sledge hammeror motorised plate compactor.

Resmooth sand after completion.

Roll out weed retaining membraneon top of compacting sand.Overlap joints by 300mm leaving50mm short of the grass edge.

Roll out grass to cover areas. Trim edges of grass rolls using a craft knife. It is easier to cut grass rollsfrom underneath.

Ensure grass rolls are buttedtogether making sure no fibresare caught underneath.

Lay all rolls in the samedirection so the blades of grassall point in the same direction.

Apply adhesive onto jointing tape and spread alongjoin surface.

Place roll edge onto tape making sure the fibresdo not touch the glue.

Ruffle the pile to disguise the joint.

Fix down the edge using ground pins(angled to avoid lifting) every 200mm intervals.
