Kalkitech Wide Area Monitoring System (WAMS)

Phasor data gives real-time representation of system state with high confidence in comparison with SCADA measurements. This data can be effectively used for improving system stability and thereby preventing black-outs of an entire national grid. Kalkitech solution is based on IEEE C-37.118 .This standard addresses the definition of a synchronized phasor, time synchronization, application of time tags, method to verify measurement compliance with the standard, and message formats for communication with a phasor measurement unit (PMU) and Phasor Data Concentrator (PDC)

Kalkitech Distribution Automation & Management Systems

Distribution networks are generally distributed over a larger geographical area feeding many customers.In order to isolate transient & permanent faults, utilities installs auto re-closure, sectionalizers, Ring main Units (RMU) and Fault Pass Indicators (FPI) in their network. However, the fault information is not available to utility instantly and require manual patrolling to locate the faults and to analyse it. In addition to this utilities do not have proper mechanisms to store information collected for proper planning of the future networks.

Kalkitech Distribution Automation (DA) gives a cost effective mechanism where setting up of complete DMS system is not cost effective and require a remote monitoring of its critical equipments. Usually DA is always considered as subset of DMS system.
