The Artemis Project is an animal welfare organization that was founded in 2001. Our goal is to alleviate the suffering of NYC's animals in crisis. Artemis is a 501c3 non-profit, operating solely on volunteer dedication and donations. At this time, Artemis has a very full house of wonderful cats looking for foster or permanent homes. All our cats are fully vetted at Lincoln Square Veterinary Hospital, and are up to date on all shots and spayed/neutered. Please take a look at the great animals we currently have. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting, please email [email protected] or go to our Facebook page at facebook.com/artemisproject. Skittles is an energetic and playful mackerel tabby. He is curious, alert, and active. If you are looking for an active cat but not a kitten, Skittles fits the bill. Uptown, is a very quiet, affectionate and easy-going 2 year old male cat. Perfect for someone who wants a lovable, alert but laid-back companion. Willow was found under a stoop in Brooklyn. She is a sweet, head-butting, shoulder-climbing girl with lots of love to give! Her coat is silky, with a stunning silver-blue color. But please, no dogs and best no other cats. Tangerine, George & Sunny are 3 kittens recued early from a feral group. They are socialized daily, with impressive improvements. If you are open to the satisfaction that comes from working with a young animal please consider one or more of this marmalade trio. Jay is new to our pride. He was found wandering around & extremely malnourished. He does require one pill a day for his hyperthyroid condition. But so far he offers no resistance and is growing stronger and calmer each day. Carbon is an extremely affectionate and gentle young cat. The staff and volunteers at the clinic all love him – would hate to see him leave EXCEPT if it’s off to a new home. All black with bright green eyes, he is hard to resist.
