Drawing Value

One of the most common ways to learn about value is to make a value scale

Value scales are named by how many boxes there are

Below is a six-part value scale

Blending

Avoid using your finger while blending. The oils from your skin stain the paper and cannot

be erased!

Stippling

If you are heard “stabbing” the paper rather than stippling, you are drawing incorrectly.
