Natalia Beattie

Art has always been about passion, about feeling. Ever

since my hand held that very first crayon, I’ve held that

passion. My name is Natalia Beattie, I am 16 years old.

It has always been my dream to one day show

the world my art, so for ten years I have been trying to

do just that. I have sold artwork at the Bailey Theatre in

Camrose as well as through facebook and have recently

created my own business cards.

I received top academic in art last year and have

something extra special planned for the

new Bawlf School. According to the principal, it will be

placed in the new commons room.

My work is unique, I take requests. People will confront

me with an idea of what they want and I will create a

masterpiece based off of their vision. My mediums include

pencil, pencil crayon, chalk, ink, and acrylic paints.

The price varies with each request; depending on the

amount of detail, size chosen, and time it took for the

piece. With each precious creation I hope to improve and

continue to make people feel something

about the beautiful strokes that were once blank surfaces.

Rita Sherman

I live in My name is Rita Sherman, and I’m very excited about

trying a new venture. As an MS patient, every day is an adventure and carrying my camera with me is routine. It

is part of me, the best therapy in the world, and good

incentive to keep trying to improve myself. I’ve been privileged to have been a part of the Camrose Art Walk

for three consecutive years. I have worked at the

Farmer’s Market in the Mall for two years and was part of their Camera Club until my elderly parents (back in B.C.),

needed too much of my time for me to stay committed to a membership. I’ve had one of my pieces showcased at the “Art Box” Gallery in Calgary, where it sold. Mostly, I

just love what I see through the view-finder, which I’ve only been doing for four years now. I had a different

career before that, (piano-teaching), but sometimes we

get sent down a different path due to circumstances beyond our control, so down the path we roll, enjoying

the trip as we go.

I live in Gwynne, Alberta and you can find some of my

photo-collection on flickr.com. Once you’re on the web-

site, go to ritaspics2 and that is where I’ll be. I was also

invited to post on the “Northern California” web-site,

which I do from time to time.
