Captain Nick Nash was born in Penzance in the South West of England, where he still lives with his family and a small brown dog.He ran away to sea at the age of 17, initially working on cargo ships and then with the Royal Fleet Auxiliary which supports the Royal Navy.Nick joined P&O/Princess in 1989. He was promoted to Staff Captain in 1997 and Captain in 2002.Captain Nash is a training Captain, a Fellow of The Royal Institute of Navigation and a Younger Brother of Trinity House.

Silvio Zampieri hails from Adria, I taly, jus t inland f rom the Adriatic Sea. At his graduation from Scuola Statale Alberghiera, a specialist school for hoteliers, he was offered a full- time teaching position, but Silvio turned it down for the restaurant industry.
