KDADS has continued a “crisis only” policy for funding admissions. Despite this policy AWI has continued
to admit several new persons without funding. As a Community Service Provider (CSP) we have a waiting list
with 22 people waiting for funding.

2012 operating revenue increased compared to 2011. Revenue from federal sources was of
the total revenue as compared to 48.9% in 2011. Revenue from the state of Kansas was as
compared to 30.9% in 2011. Mill levy funds from all counties were as compared to 5.8% in 2011.
Non-tax revenue was compared to 14.4% in 2011. Non-tax revenue is generated from private fees,
donations, production sales, etc. Of the total revenue is generated at the local level.

EMPLOYEEClients and staff celebrated the holidays with the annual Christmas Party December 7, 2012 at the Knights of Columbus in Dodge City. AWI enjoyed a holiday dinner during Christmas carols, gifts and awards. Each year employees that have attained 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of service are honored. This year's employees and their respective awards are:

The long-awaited construction of the Pratt Day
Program is officially underway. The new
location will be used for expanding client
programs and office space. The ground breaking thwas held February 19 at 430 Yucca Lane.
Clients, staff, board members, community
leaders and friends sunk a golden shovel into the
ground to celebrate the event. The new location
will be 9,500 square feet and is planned for
completion this fall.

Arrowhead West, Inc. is pleased to announce the election of Sherri Rawlins, Newton, to the Board of Directors. Sherri is currently the administrator for the school at Prairie View Behavioral Health in Newton. She retired in June 2012 from the Harvey County Special Education Cooperative in Newton where she was the director since 1989. Sheri is also involved in the Kansas Community Leadership Initiative and the Newton Area Chamber of Commerce. Sherri and her spouse, Tim, have four children. She grew up in Southwest Kansas and received her BS from Fort Hays State University and her MS from Kansas State University. She also attended WSU for her post-graduate district leadership credentials. Sherri joined the Board of Directors for a three year term.

Sherri Rawlins
Yvette Bell began working with
Arrowhead West in Dodge City in
cooperation with the Southwest Kansas
Cooperative District in December 2012.
She is a Registered Nurse working with
area children in our services. Yvette
received her Associates of Science in
Nursing from Dodge City Community
College. She also has a diploma in
Massage Therapy.
Andrea Stegman was promoted to
Case Manager in the Western Kansas
Division in January 2012. She
previously worked as a Life Skills
Instructor. Andrea has been employed
with Arrowhead West since October 2011.
She is responsible for the day-to-day
management of individual client
programs and services. Andrea graduated
from Kansas University in 2009 with a
Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and a
Concentration in Psychology.

Steve and Jane Stein used the Memorial and
Dedication Opportunities to dedicate the work room
at Western Kansas Division Day Program in honor of
their son, Mark. Mark was a client at Arrowhead
West many years ago. Family and friends gathered
together for the dedication and shared many stories
about the time Mark was a client at AWI.
