Sunday Morning Opportunity: Jesus came to Earth to show us what it meant to be fully loved by God. In fact, he loved us so much he chose to die on the cross for us. But while he was here on earth he was teaching, and showing people the difference between right and wrong. Jesus wanted to show people the truth of God’s love and word. In the Bible we learn God has prepared a special armor for all of us. He equips each of us with the belt of truth that is found in God’s word, the breast plate of God’s righteousness to help protect our hearts, the boots of peace and good news to go and share the word of God with others. A shield of faith to help protect us when times get tough. The helmet of Salvation to help you remember through Christ you are loved and protected. The Sword of the Holy Spirit to fight against the things that are bad in this world. Remember all activity sheets will be found in the links after the packet by age. To help your kids better understand watch this video:

Armor and Squirt Guns Elementary Discussion: Roman Soldiers used armor to protect them from battle, each piece served a crucial part of staying safe. Just like our trash bags protected us from getting super wet, If we don’t have the right equipment we won’t be ready. God gives each of us the things we need to keep the faith and constantly believe in him. We know God choose us to be part of his kingdom because he loves us. His love gives armor, The truth of the Bible is like a belt it helps keep everything in place. The breast plate of righteousness helps us to guard our hearts against the bad things of the world. The boots of peace and good news give us the courage to share God’s word with the world and those around us. The helmet of Salvation is protection for our heads and brains to help is remember that through Christ we are loved and protected. The sword of the Holy spirit helps us to fight off the bad things of this world so we can live a life that is pleasing to God and shows his love for us and the world. The Prayer hands help us remember that we are never in this alone that we have an amazing God that goes before us.

Ask: 1) Is anything less important then other things?

(Let your kids give you their thoughts) 2) Why do you think God equips us this way?

(He wants us to be ready to show others his love) 3) What is something we can do to make our world a better place and show

God we love him? (Tell others about his love!)
