TI’s software ecosystem includes frameworks to accelerate initial application design as well as future migrations, OS sup-port and application-specific software.

Since software is essential to most processor designs, TI engineers con-sider software at the same time that hardware is being defined, making it an integral part of silicon definition. TI’s unmatched system expertise across hundreds of applications enables you to get to market quickly with solutions that are already 50 to 80 percent complete. TI offers application code, demonstrations, optimized peripherals and tools targeted at a vari-ety of applications including: industrial automation, white goods, medical and point of sale, cloud computing, virtual network appliances, video ana-lytics and high-performance computing. The Tiva™ C Series ARM MCUs, for example, supports more than 2,000 APIs. Sitara™ ARM Processors

provide runtime software components and documentation, including soft-ware development kits (SDKs) for the Linux™ and Android™ operating systems. The KeyStone family of multicore ARM SoCs comes with the Linux-supported Multicore SDK (MCSDK). The MCSDK provides founda-tional building blocks for customers to quickly start developing embedded application on TI multicore ARM/DSPs.

Overview

The new Keystone II K2E platform combines the high performance of a ARM Cortex™-A15 MPCore™ and an optional single C66x KeyStone DSP core to power your system. The K2E portfolio of devices is focused on providing high-performance multicore ARM with multiple high-speed peripherals to do the heavy lifting on the most demanding programming tasks. The K2E platform provides this unparallel performance and flexibili-ty in a power consumption envelope as low as 8W power consumption. Unlike most multicore ARM processors that are targeted towards mobile devices, this platform of devices is targeted for embedded infrastructure and high-performance applications.
