ABOUTBoys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale serves thousands of youth each year within the communities of Scottsdale, North Phoenix, Fountain Hills, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and the Hualapai Nation. Youth development professionals and mentors provide guidance, support and encouragement in an enriching and safe environment. Our outcome-based programming assures that success is in reach for all kids and teens who enter our doors, no matter their circumstances.
> Destination Graduation - Designed specifically for ages 13–18, this program guides teens through an individual action plan to graduate high school and explore a path towards college or a trade skill. Emphasizing career development, Club members learn how to complete job and college applications, develop interview skills and more.
Innovative Dream-MakersBGCS celebrates the unique qualities that make each Club kid special. Our youth development professionals ignite ingenuity, creativity and passion inspiring our youth to reach for the stars and achieve their dreams.
> National Fine Arts - Encourages artistic expression through drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, mixed media and sculpture.
> ImageMakers Photography - Year-round programming teaching youth the art and science of photography.
Healthy Game-ChangersOur Clubs help kids lead healthy lifestyles, avoid risky behaviors and provide opportunities for exercise, to compete in team sports and establish lifelong friendships.
> Triple Play - A comprehensive health and wellness initiative, strives to improve the overall health of children, ages 6-18, by increasing their daily physical activity, teaching them good nutrition, helping them develop healthy relationships. This initiative nurtures the minds, bodies, and souls of Club members.
> SMART Moves - SMART Moves (Skills Mastery and Resilience Training) is a prevention and education program that addresses drug and alcohol use and premature sexual activity. Club members engage in discussion and role-playing while practicing resilience, developing assertiveness and strengthening their decision-making skills.
