High-School Graduation Rate Declines Again, Report SaysThe national high-school graduation rate continues to decline, going from a peak of 77% in 1969 to 68.8%in 2007, according to a report from Education Week and the nonprofit Editorial Projects in EducationResearch Center. The rate in 2006 was 69.2% -- making 2007 the second consecutive year that fewer students graduated from high school within four years.
